Last night, April 19th 2024, 99 years to the day from Raheens' first official fixture (a 0-3 to 0-2 win over TMH in the Junior Football Championship) we saw the club field a 4th Senior Men's team. Our Junior D team are playing in Reserve League Div. 7 this year. Their first game was against Sarsfields which was a win to Raheens by 2-15 to 1-09. A great start to the League lads. Also of note in the game was our Minor boys manager Cathal Carr togging out and playing alongside 2 of the lads on the Minor panel. Now that's what I call team work. No truth to the rumour that Cathal also featured in that game against TMH in 1925.
