Raheens GAA/LGFA played host to an unforgettable day of football on Saturday as the Kildare club LGFA Intermediate and Junior finals unfolded in front of a packed crowd. Supporters from four clubs gathered to witness two closely contested games, each decided by the slimmest of margins.
The dayโs action kicked off at 3:30 PM with the Junior final between Kilcock and Na Fianna. In an intense and high-scoring battle, Kilcock emerged victorious by just a single point, edging out Na Fianna 3-08 to 3-07. Both teams showed tremendous skill and determination throughout the game, keeping the spectators on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.
Following this, at 5:00 PM, the Intermediate final took place, featuring Kill and Balyna. This contest was no less dramatic, with Kill prevailing by three points in another thrilling encounter. The final score of 2-12 to 3-06 reflected the competitive nature of the game, as both teams fought hard in search of victory.
The large crowd at Tom Lawler Park, rarely seen in such numbers, added to the electric atmosphere of the day. A huge thanks is due to the Raheens GAA/LGFA volunteers, whose tireless efforts ensured that the event ran smoothly and was a success for all involved.
Congratulations to Kilcock and Kill for their respective wins, and commendations to Na Fianna and Balyna for their valiant performances in what was a fantastic showcase of football talent.
