Join a Raheens Strategic Committee and Help Shape the Future of Raheens GAA/LGFA!
Dear Members
After a successful launch in December of the 2025-2030 Raheens Strategic Plan we are now looking for passionate members to join one of our five key committees. Each committee plays a vital role in driving the future of our club, and we are seeking volunteers who bring enthusiasm, experience, and a willingness to contribute. This is open for everyone, and it is a great way to get involved.
Here’s a brief overview of each committee and the type of members we are looking for:
1. Juvenile Games Development
Focus: Ensuring a strong, inclusive, and structured approach to juvenile coaching and player development to make sure each player reaches his/her potential.
Who We Need: Coaches, parents, and anyone with experience in youth development or mentoring. It will help shape the future of our youth base for years to come.

2. Adult Games Development
Focus: Enhancing coaching structures, player retention, competitiveness so to ensure all players reach their potential.
Who We Need: Current and former players, coaches, and those with a background in team management or sports science.

3. Development & Facilities
Focus: Improving club facilities, infrastructure, and long-term capital projects.
Who We Need: Members with experience in project management, construction, tradesmen, facility planning or anyone who have an interest in seeing the development of facilities in Raheens.

4. Fundraising & Financing
Focus: Ensuring the club has the resources to develop and creating space for sponsorships, events, and grant applications.
Who We Need: Those with experience in fundraising, financial management, event management, marketing, business development, sales or anyone that has an interest in creating and bringing events to life.

5. Culture, Community & PR
Focus: Strengthening community ties, promoting club values, and enhancing communication, inclusivity. The committee will provide a wide breath of activities of games, social events and cultural interests for all its members and the wider community.
Who We Need: Individuals with skills in communications, social media, community engagement, cultural promotion and anyone that is interested in bringing the Raheens members and community together to enhance the lives of everyone.
Focus: Strengthening community ties, promoting club values, and enhancing communication, inclusivity. The committee will provide a wide breath of activities of games, social events and cultural interests for all its members and the wider community.

There is one additional more pillar that was announced which is the Club Management & Structures. This will be owned by the executive team. The focus is in Strengthening governance, club operations, and leadership roles to ensure efficient running of the club.
